1/4A Parachute Duration (NRC)
Achieve the highest flight time by making 1 or 2 flights on 1/4A-engine rockets. Each rocket must use parachute recovery.
A Boost Glider Duration (NRC)
Achieve the highest flight time by making 2 flights on A-engine rockets. Each rocket must use glider recovery.
B Eggloft Duration (NRC)
Achieve the highest total flight time by making 2 flights on B-engine rockets. Each rocket must carry a regulation-sized hen's egg that is recovered undamaged.
C Eggloft Altitude (Altimeter) (NRC)
Achieve the highest single altitude by making 1 or 2 flights on C-engine rockets. Each rocket must carry a regulation-sized hen's egg that is recovered undamaged.
Precision Standard Payload
Carry a regulation NAR standard payload to 150 m and a 40 s flight.
Open Spot Landing
Launch any rocket (A through D engine) from an angle of no greater than 30 degrees and land closest to a designated spot.
The other two NRC events for 2018-2019 may also be flown and results will be submitted to the National Scoreboard.
These events are:
1/4A Helicopter Duration
Achieve the highest total flight time by making 2 flights on 1/4A-engine rockets. Each rocket must use helicopter recovery.
B Payload Altitude (Altimeter)
Achieve the highest single altitude by making 1 or 2 flights on B-engine rockets. Each rocket must carry an official NAR payload.
*SWARM does have two JollyLogic altimeters available for use. A deposit is required and a small fee may be charged for rental. Please note that these do not fit in BT-20 tubes.
Non-SWARM members in C and D divisions are asked to pay a $10 fee on the day of the competition.
Competitors are encouraged to be NAR members, and must be to participate in the National Rocketry Competition (NRC). See ww.nar.org for information on joining. If you would like help joining the NAR, just come to the launch and a SWARM member will be pleased to help You will still be able to compete at this year's Harvest Classic.
