A-engine Parachute Duration
Achieve the highest flight time by making 1 or 2 flights on A-engine rockets. Each rocket must use parachute recovery.
Classic Model
Build a flying replica of a rocket kit that was available prior to 1990 and provide documentation of the original model.
B-engine Streamer Duration--CHANGED FROM PAYLOAD DURATION
Achieve the highest flight time by making 1 or 2 flights on B-engine rockets. Each rocket must use streamer recovery.
Open Spot Landing
Launch any rocket (A through D engine) from an angle of no greater than 30 degrees and land closest to a designated spot.
Standard Precision Payload (with altimeter)
Launch a rocket carrying a standard NAR payload. Have the rocket achieve an altitude of 150 m and a duration of 40 s.
*SWARM does have an altimeter available for use in the Standard Precision Payload event. A deposit is required and a small fee may be charged for rental.
^Standard Precision Payload will only be run if competitors from another section (other than SWARM) compete.
Non-SWARM members in C and T divisions are asked to pay a $5 fee on the day of the competition.
All competitors must be NAR members. See ww.nar.org for information on joining. If you would like help joining the NAR, just come to the launch and a SWARM member will be pleased to help You will still be able to compete at this year's Harvest Classic.
